As a reminder, ASQ:SE-2 is a great tool to accurately identify and monitor children at risk for social-emotional delay from birth through age 5. While it is designed to identify a child’s strengths and/or whether a child may need encouragement or support, it isn’t designed todiagnose delays or disabilities or identify specific child goals to target. As you enter the child’s information, it will automatically for prematurity and account for developmental age. ASQ:SE-2 concentrates on self-regulation, compliance, social-communication, adaptive functioning, autonomy, affect, and interaction with people. The ASQ:SE-2 is offered every 6 months until the child is 3 years old, and then again at 4 years old and 5 years old.
